The Sig Wonder is a small hand-launched airplane designed for exciting sport flying. This kit was bought because of the need for something small and convenient that could be thrown in the back of the car for quick jaunts to the field. This could also provide change of pace from scale aerobatic airplanes.
The Wonder looks like a flying wing, but it is really a conventional airplane. What is unusual is that the stabilizer flows back directly from the wing creating the illusion of a flying wing. The stabilizer also has distinct twin fins mounted on the ends. The twin fins also flow back from the wing. Despite the unusual looks, the Wonder uses the conventional control surfaces of elevator and aileron. Thus, no flaperon mixing is used or required. The Wonder is meant to be very simple and has no rudders and throttle control is optional.

The WONDER is best described as a very fast, go-where-you-point-it, turn-it-quick-or-it’ll-be-gone kind of plane designed for hot-thumbed R/C pilots. With an .09 or a .10 size engine, the WONDER is actually a very nimble, aerobatic, smooth flying sport plane, but with a snarlin’ .15 or .19 up front it’s a hand- launched hot rod!
